PhD Student in Communication, Purdue University
I am a PhD student in Communication at Purdue University, specializing in Media, Technology, and Society, advised by Prof. Jeremy Foote. My research approaches online platforms and digitality critically, exploring how platforms influence interactions and focusing on the interplay between algorithmic systems and society. I hold degrees (BSc, MSc) in physics and applied mathematics from the National Technical University of Athens (N.T.U.A.) and an MA in computational social science from the University of Chicago (MACSS), focusing on sociology. The Onassis Foundation Scholarship program supports my PhD work.
Methodologically I am focusing on computational text analysis methods (embeddings, topic modelling, sentiment analysis), as well as network analysis and simulation.
Oh, I'm also a member of the Community Data Science Collective (CDSC), a cool bunch of people you might want to check out.
